Geelong past players and officials’ annual golf day
May 12, 2015The Annual Golf Day for the Geelong Past Players & Officials will once again be held at the Barwon Heads Golf Club, rated 21 in Australia, on Friday, November 4. It will feature a four-man Ambrose competition with a shotgun start at 8.30 am.
This year’s special guest is Michael Clayton. Mike had a very successful career as a player and is now involved in Golf Course design in partnership with Ogilvy, Cocking and Mead. Some of their projects include upgrades to the Lakes GC, Royal Queensland GC, Royal Canberra GC and RACV Torquay. Last year’s winners (63 Reserve Premiership players) Nicholls, Eastgate, DeGoldi and Salter have been putting in long hours on the fairways and greens trying to defend their crown. Trophies this year have been donated by John Rafferty, Chief Executive Officer of the myclubgroup, Peter Burnett, Mine Host Lord of the Isles Hotel, Peter Brown, Water Wise Geelong, Ben Stewart Upstairs Yellow golf supplies and Ron Hosking Kentucky Fried Chicken.
This is its sixth year at Barwon Heads with other previous venues being Queens Park and Bellarine Lakes.
Remember, the sooner you get your team entered, the sooner you can be assured of a place in the field.
We look forward to seeing you on November 4.
